The Solution
Allscripts Sunrise is a fully integrated platform that connects all clinical and financial aspects of a hospital or health system for inpatient, emergency, and outpatient care. Apogee implemented this service alongside the Managed Print Service as an added efficiency to their operations.
By implementing Allscripts Sunrise as Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust’s electronic health record, the Trust is able to deliver an outstanding staff and patient experience, by giving clinicians the information they need to deliver excellent patient care.
From computer physician order entry and medication management to financial solutions and analytics, Allscripts Sunrise supports all the core care venues with a single platform and single patient record – across inpatient, ambulatory, emergency, and other high-acuity venues.
The Outcome
Apogee's Managed Print Service delivered cost savings and improved functionality through:
- Centralised reporting features for specified persons to run reports on usage.
- Introduction of cost ‘pop-ups’ enabling users to select more cost effective devices or cancel the job.
- Provide fleet of MFDs that print monochrome and duplex by default.
- Converting colour prints to B&W with notifications sent to the user.
- Ensuring duplicate print jobs self-delete.
- Ensuring prints not printed after an agreed number of days will be automatically deleted.
- Printing from patient care application to maximise cost savings.
Apogee's Managed Print Service provided improved security through:
- Introduction of ‘Find Me’ printing.
- MFDs that can scan documents to email addresses.
- Ensuring all printing, copying and scanning is on a secure, ‘pull’ basis; with authentication.
