MAIDSTONE, 11/01/23 - Apogee employees raised £3825 for Action for Children UK in December 2022, as part of Apogee’s annual Christmas Charity Advent Calendar event.
The funds raised will enable the charity to continue providing practical and emotional care to children and young people across the UK, in a bid to bring lasting improvement to their lives.
The support provided by Action for Children is particularly crucial this winter, with the cost of living crisis threatening the health of those in low-income households.
“Apogee are constantly on the lookout for opportunities to give back,” says Dom Gryszan, Apogee’s Director of Marketing. “And considering the circumstances this year, we knew we wanted to help some of our most vulnerable people get the support they need.”
As part of the Advent Calendar Event, employees purchased raffle tickets to be in with the chance to win from a range of 30 amazing prizes, donated by Apogee’s generous partners and suppliers.
These prizes encompassed a range of gift vouchers, hampers, gadgets, and appliances – as well as a day visit to The Shard, with a three-course meal for two at Marco Pierre White’s London Steakhouse.
260 employees participated in the event, with winners announced every day from 1st December all the way to the 24th.
“The Advent Calendar event has always added a bit of excitement to the lead up to the Christmas break,” continues Dom. “We’re so grateful for all of our partners and suppliers, and everyone who decided to donate to this very worthy cause.”
A mainstay tradition since 2018, the Christmas Charity Advent Calendar Event will return in December 2023.
