Apogee supports Teens Unite Around the World Fundraising Challenge

Europe’s largest managed workplace services (MWS) provider Apogee Corp has recently completed its ‘Around the World’ fundraising challenge for cancer charity Teens Unite.

Europe’s largest Managed Workplace Services (MWS) provider Apogee Corporation has recently completed its ‘Around the World’ fundraising challenge for cancer charity Teens Unite.

34 teams made up of Apogee employees, friends and family aimed to complete 40,075km before 21 June but managed to achieve their goal, six days ahead of schedule.

The teams could run, cycle, walk or swim to complete the mileage and have raised over £7,000 for Teens Unite.

Participating teams will be offered prizes, including for the best team name, most miles individually run and most money raised. Apogee has also matched the highest amount raised by a team.

Teens Unite supports young people fighting against cancer, to help them live life to the fullest. Every year 2,555 teenagers and young adults are diagnosed with cancer, and Teens Unite helps them to reach their full potential.

As well as raising money for Teens Unite, Apogee are also planning to develop a volunteer scheme where employees give back and volunteer with the charity on a regular basis.

The cause is close to the heart of Apogee’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mark Smyth, who has previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge and multiple runs for the charity.

Teens Unite does fantastic work in supporting teenagers with cancer. I’m delighted my colleagues have risen to the challenge and cannot wait to see how much money we can raise for this amazing cause.
– Mark Smyth, Chief Operating Officer at Apogee

We're thrilled the Apogee team has chosen to support Teens Unite in such a positive way - the money will make a huge difference to the lives of young people impacted by a cancer diagnosis.
– Jodie Pezzani, Fundraising Manager at Teens Unite
